Christine Boyle launched Smart Bookkeeping in 2020 to provide small business owners with real-time financial information that informs their business decision-making. She offers specialist insight for business owners in the healthcare sector having spent nearly 25 years’ in public and private health in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Christine originally qualified as a dentist in 1995 and was self-employed until she took a position with the Eastern Health Board. There, she was promoted to senior dentist and then a managerial position in 2017. In this senior healthcare role Christine was responsible for staff management, engagement with regulatory bodies such as Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and handling incidents and complaints. Notably, in this role Christine was also responsible for a budget of €2.5million, spanning payroll, assigning cost centres and managing stock and inventory. Consequently, her experience in self-employment and as a senior manager with significant financial responsibility gives her a unique perspective for small businesses, particularly those in the healthcare sector.

Through Smart Bookkeeping, Christine strives to relieve the stress her clients feel around bookkeeping. She provides a seamless, informative service that helps business owners to understand their financial situation at any point in time and grow their business with confidence.

Christine is a graduate and member of the Professional Bookkeepers Academy. She also holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Master of science in Healthcare Management, and has completed Risk Management and Incident Management training through the Health Service Executive (HSE). She is a former chair of the Irish Dental Association (HSE Dental Surgeons Group) and of the HSE Radiation Safety Committee CHO 6,7,8 & 9. In her spare time, Christine is a Club Children’s Officer for North Dublin Winter Swimming Club.
