Martin Ryan
Finance Pro
Martin is the owner of Finance Pro and delivers a personal approach to the financial management of his clients’ businesses alongside sourcing business lending options through traditional banking, alternative funders and export markets. He has more than 25 years’ experience in accounting, finance and business banking, and offers extensive knowledge of financial analysis and business lending processes and regulations.
Prior to launching Finance Pro in 2019, Martin held senior roles in banking and finance. He spent 18 years with Ulster Bank as Business Banking Manager where he worked closely with businesses for new account openings, lending and sourcing of business-related products. Similarly, he worked with AIB Bank in business banking and loan applications for three years, followed by senior positions with a FinTech company delivering merchant services loans, leasing and various forms of alternative lending solutions, and with Grenke for invoice finance and equipment leasing.
Martin’s experience in lending, leasing, finance and invoice discounting gives him the unique ability to review business challenges and quickly identify opportunities that improve cashflow. He also provides deep insight into lending criteria, helping businesses to understand what lenders require in a loan application, who to approach and how to communicate their ability to meet lending requirements. He has also helped many businesses facing financial challenges to implement processes that help improve their financial situation and achieve finance within a short time frame.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from IT Tralee, and is a QFA and LIB with the Institute of Banking and Life Assurance Association of Ireland. He has also undertaken a number of training programmes including Front Line Management, Leadership Through Change and the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Corporate Accreditation Programme, for which he became a facilitator upon graduation. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and a member of Business Network International (BNI) in Killarney. He is also Past President of the Tralee Lions Club and a past member of local chamber of commerce. He enjoys sharing his knowledge widely and has spoken at business events such as the Local Enterprise Office (LEO).
